The City of Peterborough collects Christmas trees at the curbside for composting during the first three weeks in January, while County residents may drop their trees off for chipping at the following Public Works Yards throughout the month.

Please remove all decorations, tinsel, stands and plastic bags from the tree.

Make sure you buy your Christmas tree from a reputable tree farm. As an alternative to Christmas trees that must be cut down, consider getting a small potted tree.
